About Us

Located near Portland, Oregon, the name “Kidkees” is formed from two important parts of our family: kids (who are now both young adults) and Keeshonden

Our first AKC Champion was Rose, CH Rainkees Timeless Rose CD, whelped in 1999. Since then, we have bred several generations of champions and amazing companions. Being beautiful and structurally sound is important to us, and Kidkees also prizes the intelligence necessary for competing in AKC obedience, rally and agility. Additional activities include therapy dog work and crisis response, as well as the occasional litter of puppies. Kidkees is a small hobby breeder, and does not have puppies available often.

We are members of Keeshond Club of America, Mt. Hood Keeshond Club, and Pacific Crest Keeshond Club.

Kidkees is also proud to be an AKC Breeder of Merit. Being a Breeder of Merit means that we:

  • Have been involved in AKC events for more than five years
  • Earned AKC titles on at least four dogs
  • Are a member of an AKC club
  • Health screen the dogs we breed
  • Commit to AKC registering puppies
